Shootin' at the Police Range

A good time was had by all, and the weather was great with a temperature of 75 and a cool breeze blowing. The benches were filled (6) and we had a couple of casual shooters with us that shot off the existing bench rail.

It looks like this is going to be a good place to shoot, as the management seems to be accepting us and allowing us more and more leeway.

If you have not shot there yet, there is a solid wood overhead to keep the shooters in the shade, and all the other amenities that are needed are right there.

Howard and Charlene have make some very acceptable benches and will be making some more to accomodate more shooters. The entire range is paved so there is no issue with dirt and dust. The target backers are solid and do not seem to be affected by the wind.

We are going to be shooting various targets, in addition to the AGBR for those who want to be shooting in sanctioned matches.

We have the range Every Sunday for the forseeable future, so I highly recommend checking it out. Matches are tentatively scheduled for the last Sunday of the month, with the other Sundays open to practice or other Matches if there is interest.

Also, the price to shoot is only 5 bucks, and there is no fee if you buy a yearly membership. One heck of a price by anyones standards.

See you all there next Sunday!

Actually we shot BR-50 International, the late Larry Browns game. The target looks easy, but I struggled in our play match.

And I'm guessing you meant "AGBR". We have targets for that game also, in addition to RBA, ARA, and USBR. So we can play a lot of games.:)
