Shoot room video request/ Me shooting/tuning videos. Enjoy!!

That is very cool lee. thank's for the show.
wish i had someone like you in my area to shoot with..would also be nice if they had a cool shooting room to.
I will be heading to the range about 11:30,can't shoot till noon on sunday..by myself to play with some different powders and chrony, with my 6ppc.

Lee,
Thanks for the videos. (I used the link at the bottom.) I will be interested as to what your exploration of seating depths yields.

The seating depths were just as I thought. I started my tune from the second group I shot in the video. That depth was 2.521 on my tool. From there I could. Shoot well but when I went out to 2.526 everything got more consistent. At 2.526 I could shoot 25 and 25.5 gr of n133 equally well at 200 yards. I think I'm close but I'm still playing a bit. I do like these old rem br bullets though. I hope I can get more of them. Lee

What did the marks on the bullet look like at the two seating depths? Are the bullets that you made the change with the Remingtons?

Boyd
yes i was shooting the old Remington Br bullets this AM. Funny thing was that when my final notes were said and done and i was happy with my tune, my notes were exactly the same as they were with the Ronnie cheek 22cal bullet i usually shoot. Exactly!!
The marks on the bullets were half as long as wide, on a cut barrel 4 groove. Lee

I have had a few PM's About my comment or from not being thrilled with the little 3 shot group i had shot. This will be hard to explain for me maybe, but what i was saying is that, i wasnt happy with how much change there was in the group with just a half grain increase. If a half grain chnaged the group that much then i felt that i was to close to being on the edge of that particular tune. When i started my tune from the little 3 shot group, my group aggs might not have been as small as that one group but i felt i was more in the middle of a safe window, so if i ever needed to make a slight adjustment i wouldnt run the risk of shooting a big group.
I had a couple fellas ask me why in the world i wasnt happy with that little dot i showed on the video. I was thrilled to death with it but i just knew i wasnt in the middle of a node yet. I should have videoed the 3 or 4 groups i shot after that one small one as it would have shown what i am trying to explain. I just didnt want to walk out across the beans again. LOL!!! Lee

Thats really great Lee.
Not to be pessimistic but I hope you have lots of insurance on that little place.
Have you ever thought about some metal shutters or some such on the outside to help keep the unwanted out?
It used to be things like that far out in the country were not to much of a target but around here those areas have been hit hard in the last couple of years.

Vern
You are correct. the dirt bags are everywhere, even in the country. I have been robbed before, so i do have a great Insurance policy. I dont keep any rifles in the shop. Everything comes home with me at the end of the day. I do worry about being hit again, i really Do!!
There are lots of folks in my area that know i am a shooter, and that i have nice firearms, but they also know they might get shot at if they go on my folks property when they arent supposed to be there. LOL!!! No, i probably should add some type of security system or something, but like i said there isnt ever any rifles on site unless i am there. Lee

My original idea for a video was so I could watch myself shoot so I could see if I had any nasty bad habits. I guess they kinda snowballed from there. Either that or I just have to much free time. Lol. Lee
