Anyone have Shilen re-barrel a action???

What was the end result and the process like?

I know they take there time with them.. My supervisor is in the 15th or 16th week of waiting for his Cooper to be rebarreled in 223 AI. But that also includes truing and trigger work as well. I'm curious to see it when it's finished.

Dan, did Shilen give him a aprox time to finish???
 
Shilen has these Chamberings (and more) avalable..... 22 Eley Ultimate, 22 RF Calfee and 22 Win 52D Match...Any thoughts???
 
i had 2 center fires rebarrelled by Shilen a couple of years ago. One (30.06) shot very well--a variety of factory loads around a inch, or a bit less. The other (7mmRem.Mag) was nothing short of incredible--a number of factory loads less than 1", about 3 at .5", and almost to the same point of impact.
 
Well they really do take there time ! My supervisor was told 12 to 14 weeks delivery time... He spoke with someone monday the 15th and was told it would be another 4 weeks minimum, the barrel had just been contoured, and not chambered yet. Dan

Dan, sounds like they'er real busy makin barrels and just do Smithing when they get time...
