shilen dga bolt

my dga is set up for the 22 br.bolt fase was done by shilen .it was first a 222 back in 1976.i would like to put a 6mm ppc barrel on it some day.how do you see if the bolt will work with that ppc case.

Hold the bolt in your hand and see if a PPC case will fit in there...probably not but if Shilen worked on it all bets are off.

If I understand correctly, the boltface is presently cut for the 22BR. If this is the case, the PPC will fit with considerable clearance. It might be necessary to make an extended extractor. If necessary, one can also bush the face but I think you could get away without it. Regards, Bill

remington action

I see several Remington actions on used benchrest rifles.i know the resale on such is bad.i was wondering the prices that I see ,are they rather on the high side and are they worked over to make them true so they can compete.
