Shilen competition trigger

OK, I'm use to Jewell's, but for this project, I decided to use the Shilen competition trigger. So I press out the mounting pins, and sproing! I found the sear and the spring, nothing else. Do I need to get a strong light & maybe another pair of eyes to seach for more parts, or is that it?

TIA

Sear bar and small coil spring. That's all I ever found. I can't see the other parts jumping out like that.

PS: If you are going to use this trigger in a rimfire, leave the little coil spring out.

Charles,
Make a couple of assembly pins from 1/8" rod, the width of the trigger housing. Makes life easier - not looking for sears & springs.

Ron

I just installed a Shilen trigger in a 40X .22 CMP rimfire and left the coil spring in. Seems like the trigger as it came is right at 6 0z on my Lyman gauge. What would leaving the the little coil spring out do? Yes the short assembly pins are a very good idea. I made a pair, bagged em in a small plastic ziploc and labeled for Rem. trigger assembly and put in the tool box. Max

I had a problem with one of my Shilen triggers, and sent it back with Ed Shilen. When he returned it, the spring was no longer there, and the trigger worked better than all my other triggers. He said, leave the spring out for RF, but use it for CF. Go figure. Ed must know what he's talking about.

Charles,
I just looked at one I had out of a rifle----the only parts detached from the assembly are as you mentioned, the sear and a spring.

I think you found all the pieces.
