Sheldon Lathes

I had a small Sheldon from the 40's (ex war depart. labels all over it). Was a nice piece 6" chuck about 36" between centers along with a big old Sebastion 14" chuck 48" between centers. Sorry I do not remember the exact models or throws any more. Old iron is nice, but I opted for one current unit that presented less difficulties between Metric and SAE threading. Both had a fair amount of wear and were going to require some in depth remediation which you can almost always plan on in old iron. Sheldon had a taper attachment as well. ( miss that bit - but there are ways around it for those few occasions)
