I am new to BR shooting but not to shooting. I will admit that the majority of my shooting knowlage is with a pistol. Bullseye pistol to be exact.
My question has to do with setting yourself to shoot.
In bullseye pistol shooting the stance is very important. The idea is to line your self with the targget so when you raise your shooting arm and aline your sights you are on targget without having to move your arm or uper body to the left or right. The way this is done is, You start by taking a stance close to what you know will line you up with the targget. Next with your pistol griped properly in your shooting hand and with your eyes closed you raise your shooting arm into a natural position at the same time turning your head to face the target, now you open your eyes to see if your line of sight is lined up with the targget. If it is not you lower your arm and move either your front or back foot to adjust. Then with your eyes closed you do it again until, when you open your eyes you are alined with the targget. This puts you in your natural stance.
My question is do BR shooters go through anything like this as they are setting up to shoot?
thanks
