Selection of BR "play" stock

Currently have several Anschutz 54 barreled actions. Local club has a "fun" match for sporter and custom rifle classes.

Looking to mount silhouette rifle into a stock to "See what it's all about" and to frustrate myself LOL.

Have been looking at a Kelbly's "drop in" stock for the Anschutz, or a McMillan equivalent. The Kelbly used to be sold by Champion Shooters, but has been discontinued. Spoke to Kelbly's and they can still provide it.

Was wondering if there are any preferences for a clueless newbie, any and all advice would be appreciated.

Owe a lot of thanks to benchrest shooters at local club (Aurora Gun Club, CO), who provided a great deal of invaluable information on reloading, cleaning and shooting off a rest.

the kelbly stock will work well, and you can re-sell it once you do not need it anymore, and then buy a real BR gun with a different action and barrel,

evilio just does silly wet stocks as I understand, not Br stocks,

Thanks, have been in contact with Ian at Kelbly's and they have one in stock, going to order tomorrow, see a lot of trouble on the horizon, but going to enjoy it.

It is always interesting to see how well the rifle shoots vs. the nut behind the butt plate (A.K.A. silly wet). Once you have absolute confidence in the gun it is only....... you you you.
