Seating depth and barrel wear

If I find an ideal seating depth for a barrel/bullet/powder combination when testing a new barrel, how long will it be before that initial seating depth needs to be adjusted on a 6ppc? How about a 30ppc or other "small 30"? Is there a difference between cut rifled and button rifled barrels? Stated another way, how many rounds does it take to wear a barrell enough that the bullet seating depth will need to be changed to keep the rifle in tune on your BR rifle - all other things being equal?

I can't give you an exact answer as I am just in my 6th year of Benchrest College, but a couple of years ago up at a registered match at Denton, I asked an infamous letter writing Dr. of Mixology how often he adjusted his seating depth and if I remember correctly he said he checked/adjusted his seating depth every 100 rounds or so. I told him, "hmmm", I'm 6 or 7 adjustments behind.

P.S. we were discussing the 6PPC so I can't say about the 30BR, but I would like to know that for my own information.
