Scope Question

I am planing on buying a 36X scope next week. Has anyone used the Sightron Bigsky 36X or the older Sightron 36X. If so, any coments about them? Or should I look at a Weaver T 36. Thanks for any help. Alan

I have used all three. I find the older Sightron and the current Weaver to be roughly equal; the new Big Sky Sightron is, at least to my eye, noticeably superior. That said, the Weaver 36X is a stone bargain. For some reason, at present, the dot version is considerably cheaper than the FCH, at least at JSC.

If you buy a Weaver T36, be sure to keep the original receipt is case you ever need warranty work. I have six of them, they seem to work fine on the 30BRs.

36X Sightron

I have been using the older model Sightron for over a year now, and am very happy with it.

Big Sky !!!

I've had the 36X Big Sky Model since they came out and like it very much.
I've heard some bad stories about Weaver warranty service and that influenced my decision to go with the Sightron.
See Dick Wright's comments on the Sightron in the latest issue of Precision Shooting.

Look hard at the Weaver. I have two of the T-36's and they've served me very well. If I were to buy another scope it would be a T-36. Good functionality, good quality, great price!!!
