Scope power suggestions

For score BR shooting at 100 & 200 yds, what power scopes are most often used?
Fixed or variable?

The 36 power Weavers and Sightrons are seen a lot as well, and are quite a bit less expensive.
Also in the last year or so the high end March 10-60x52 zoom , 50x52 and 60x52 BR scopes have seen some popularity.
There are really quite a few choices.
Also Nightforce is seen every now and then but are considered a bit to heavy for the Sporter/LV classes.

So, it looks like the 36 to 50 range.
Can .30 holes be seen at 200 yards?
How does mirage figure in at the higher power of 50x?

30s are an easy read if your eyes are in good shape. Popular are the leupold 45x right now and the march if you can afford it, Try a 36x first and see what it looks like to you. Then the 45X Yes the mirage does increase with power.
Its not a big deal though if you learn how to read it/

The 36 will allow you to see holes down to 6mm, even 22 at 200 yards if you have good conditions and sharp eyes.
the only issue would be with mirage wich can blank out the hole and even the target mothball at 200 yards.
basically any of the modern high power BR scopes can resolve a 22 cal bullet hole in the righ conditions at 200 yards.

If it's a 30, I'm going to assume:p it's for score shooting, where the only reason to shoot a gun under 13-1/2lbs. is for LV records. Nightforce scopes are very popular in score shooting. The only down side is the weight, which isn't an issue with a 13-1/2lb. gun. A lot of people use the 12-42x56 BR series NF. It's proven to be a good scope and is about half the price of a March
