Scope mount ?

I just purchased a Remington 700 sps varmint...i was wondering if i should get high/med/low scope mount...which one would work best with my gun...and what (other than height) difference do they make???

Depends on the size of scope you use.I choose the mount so the scopes sits as close as possible to the rifle.
 
do you wear glasses

I have eye glasses with a "progressive lens" (tri-focals) that require me to look through the scope with the center of my glasses. Low mounts are nearly impossible for me use. Extra high mounts work out really nice with the 56mm Nifgtforce glass and my old eyes.

do you see pretty well iwth your progressives? i had to have a pair with just one setting made in order to see clearly.

CWOP, seeing clearly is a thing of the past for me. Do I understand that you had a special pair of shooting glasses made? Do you have a right (scope) lens for looking through the scope and a regular left eye lens for wind watching?

Call Remington up and tell them what model rifle and what model scope you have and they will tell you what size rings you should use. You want the scope to be as low as possible without the scope touching the barrel.
