Scope bases for win 52

If you have a 52E or D/C that has been drilled and tapped you can purchase Davidson type bases from Sinclair International and have them fitted to the 52 by a smith. If your 52 is not d&t'd then the best I know of beyond drilling holes is the Viani mount, but it won't handle the Kelbly bases unfortunately.

You might consider doing what I had done. Use a Davidson rail and mount it to the rear barrel scope block holes. Cantilever the mount over the receiver and mount your Kelbly rings. Works well on my sleeved Remington 37. Both sets of rings are in front of the turrets.
Drilling 52 receivers is difficult, that stuff is hard as glass. bob finger

Ken Viani makes a picatiny type rail that fits the 52D that should work with Kelbly rings...

Edited to add: My brother and I both have Win 52D with Ken Viani rails. My brother uses Kelbly rings but I'm not sure what is on his Winchester at this point as on mine, I use Weaver double strap rings... Its possible he had Kelbly make him a set to fit the Viani rail... Next time I talk to him I'll have to ask...

Happy shooting,
Mitch & Shadow...

Mount

Several years ago I asked Ken to make a mount with a 3/8" dovetail. He said no at that time. I personally think it would be a better mount that would accept any 3/8 ring including Kelby and have unlimited eye relief.

That's odd,

because I have TWO of the Vianni bases for 3/8 rings, in my case, discontinued Warne Premiers.
