Scissor Rest

Went to match Sunday and saw a number of “Crayne Custom” scissor type rests being used in center fire at 200yds. Rest appeared to be well made and of good quality and function. Anyone using a scissor type rest? Is the scissor design old or new to benchrest? Does this designer type rest have any design problems?

Does it seem to work, have problems or is it to new? Why did he pick a scissor type action to build?

They seem to work extremely well with very little to no backlash. What he used I believe is a lab jack as the scissor mechanism. Im not sure his reasoning but I think it was to get away from the center post style. For windage it work alot like a fulgrom with the whole jack moving side to side on two shafts.
