Savage Model 40 22 hornet

Is anyone out there familiar with the Savage Model 40 ?? It is Savage's rimfire action that has the bolt redesigned for a centerfire firing pin, and is chambered for the 22 hornet cartridge.
I would like to know how the barrel is attached to the receiver, threaded, ? pinned? pressed in?? Any help is greatly appreciated.
