Hello All,

A benchrest (BR) shooter and gunsmith recommended a Model 12 LRPV chambered in 6mm BR/Norma for BR shooting at about 100-200 yards. Has anyone ever used this for that purpose?

There are several shoots in Indiana where we shoot 100, 300, and 400 yards. The 6BR LRPV rules the stock class. The scores in stock class are as high as the scores in the custom class.

Good for local, small club, score shooting. Mine is in .223 rem. Put an adapter plate on the front sling screw. I think, I used a 10-24 counter sunk screw. The 3" wide plate was to ride in the Caldwell BR front rest.
200y. score match. Factory class. It's a very nice starter setup.
In 6mm BR. It should be even better.

That's funny. Because. NBRSA allows it in the rules.
But, each club has it's rules. Some are not written down.
First yr. with the mod 12.
Tues. Morn. score league. 20 shots for 200 pts. It was classed Factory.
Varmint League. 3rd Sunday at 1300. 20 shots for 200 pts. It was classed Custom.
I did not know this, till the 2nd year. I didn't care about the scores. I was having too much fun.
Now I have shot that rifle once in 4yrs.
I saw and shot my first Custom. 6PPC. Wow.
