Savage LRPV build question

This is going to be my first attempt at a rifle build (either 6br or 6.5x284) and had a question about the Savage target action. I notice when ordering the action it refers to the 223 bolt face. I wanted to know what would need to be done to the action to prep it for either of these calibers. Thanks for the help!

They make the action with a .308 family bolt face which would have been much better for the cartridges you mention.

would the action need to be timed and trued or could I just change the bolt head and slap the barrel on and call it a day? any thoughts...
