Savage la left hand..

THIS IS A BLIND MAG, LOW ROUND COUNT 300 win mag rifle(111). i bought it for the left hand action. i know its not a custom br action. any guesses how well a shooter it could be/might be if properly bedded, custom bbl/chamber, good trigger ? maybe fill the bottom of the reciever mag cutout......say long throat 284 with 180's ? stick 300 win mag ? go with a 6.5 ...284. ??
i'm not looking for BR, just br....... 1/2 moa ?? or ???

Mike, I have built on a few Savage actions, and yes they are capable of 1/2 min. accuracy. The 6.5 or standard .284 would be good choices. I would shy away from a 300 win. It's a fine hunting cartrige, but a bit big for my likeing as a target rifle.
