threads and TPI
They are several model 12s. Likely yours is a what is referred to as a small or standard shank, Standard Shanks - 1.060 x 20tpi according to Shilens definition. My smith uses a 1.050 x 20. If you have LRPV it is a Large shank and is 1.120 x 20tpi. The large shank will have a small step down in the barrel diameter right after the barrel nut. The std shank continues the same size into the contour of the barrel. That is the easiest way to tell.
Almost positive it would be a std shank. That should be all you have to tell Shilen.
I don't know whom your are making your purchase through, but call Jerry at the Barrelman (see barrels on the home page of the site) and he will get you a Select Match Shilen pre-fit Savage in whatever caliber you want for $278 plus shipping. I just talked to him yesterday. 14-16 weeks wait time. It is the exact same barrel if you purchase it directly from them. He just orders in bulk. The Shilen pre-fits have been a huge success.
