Savage 12 Action Question

I want to set the shoulder bump for cases, and would prefer to have the bolt close loosely for a better feel. Is it easy to remove the firing pin spring from these, or is there another way of skinning the cat? Thanks for any help.

It's been a while but if I remember right, take the large headed screw off the back of the bolt, then the handle & firing pin assy should come out. Replace the handle & screw and you should be good to go.
