Right now the major Rimfire Benchrest Organizations (shoot for score) in the US are ARA, IR 50/50 and RBA.
I listed them in order of registered shooters.

I don't know about the others but for ARA, you don't have to join, just go shoot. Your match fees pays for website and scoring/record keeping.

There is probably a pretty good chance there is an ARA group near you as they seem to be spread out more then other groups.
Sometimes, what helps is if you fill in your Location in your profile so people know where you are they can direct you to the closest group/ organization.

Thank you for the concern. I sent an email to Lou Murdica, then the president per the page listed for information and questions. Has been 3 days. No reply. Maybe I'm not welcome?

I talked to the president a few days ago and his Win95 computer finally went on the fritz. Can't speak for Lou except to say that I cooked up that email form without notice. Actually, I'm kinda getting the "cold nose" myself these days.
As for rimfire...the NBRSA ain't doin' it! The necessary moving backers to support group shooting never did really catch on with hosting clubs. The ARG offers group shooting as well.
