BR50 this weekend at the PD range (October 3rd) and AGBR October 10th?

Thanks,

Casey

Doctor , your right on both counts...Sunday is the dreaded BR-50 target ..i'm starting to like your hoodie. it should be a great day for shooting..cee ya there .H.B.

Might have to shoot AGBR the following weekend - I really want to get my scope set up for Field Target and can't do that at the PD range (unless you'll let me put a target at 25 yds and 50 yds). It's a nice hoodie, isn't it? :) My goal was to try to sell my wife on a trip up to Prado for FT on the 9th so I have to get my scope squared away by then.

Bring a box and string you can shoot after. Also prado has sight in before the match. Talk to me
sunday to see my range chart.I click and it will give you a better idea what you need.
Roger

Thanks Roger! You going to be at SDPD next weekend (10th) too? I'd love to hear your insights. Prado on the 9th isn't looking good now.....can't get out of town. I think my goal will be their Christmas match in December...probably more realistic for me. Pine Valley is free this weekend so I'm going to go (sorry benchrest friends!) - need the 50+ yards distance and everything in between to get my sidewheel all setup and test my clicks. Plus I'm scared of the BR50 - lol. However, if the weather takes a turn for the worse again or something falls through I might be there this Sunday. I really need to get my sweatshirt back! :)

Take care,

Casey

Doctor you just don't want me to enjoy your jacket..don't be scared of the BR-50 target.it's the devil winds that you have to keep an eye on....H.B.

Really...??

Not free money-wise.... but it's available Sunday. I'd prefer to stay in town and shoot BR but if I want to shoot FT I need to get all my ranges/clicks set up and can't do that at the PD range. PV is the only place I can shoot 55+ yds. Going to try to get to the Prado Xmas shoot as my first real FT match. Could be ugly but have to start somewhere ,right? :)

What are the rules for the BR-50 Game?

Regards,

Tony

From BR50 Target..

Centerfire= 100 yards..
Rimfire = 50 yards
Air Rifle =25 yards

At SDPD: Local rules..

Air Rifle .177 = 25 yards
Air Rifle .22 = 50 yards

The scoring is outward. A shot touching the outer edge of a scoring ring gets the lower score. This is more difficult than most scoring systems where the shot is scored at the higher value when it touches a scoring ring. Further, if it looks like it might be out, it is out! Rule 10a: 'Any shot that is so close you Can't tell for certain, even with a scoring device, will be scored to the shooters disadvantage."

All sighted in ready for LD's benchrest match.....will be shooting on some A36 targets at 50 yards next week just to get use to it......have place close to home.

Cool, gonna be following all the BR Scores down there, especially when and if LD turns his gun down to sub 20fpe! Good luck! I just might see you in Prado this weekend, new HFT scope arrives today hopefully I can get the rig set up...
