Ok you ask for it ! yes this is the easest target ever , so come on out this sunday at the police range on federal ave ,starts at 8:30 -noon. and try your luck...:) you haven't a thing to loose. and the coffee is the best.cee you there .H.B.

How much time and/or targets are allotted for sighting in?

My scope is zero'd at backyard distance (~15 yards) so I'd need a little time to sight in at 25. I have some other plans but if they fall through I'm going to give the BR a go. I cobbled together a cheap yet hopefully serviceable car jack rest last night and now need to find something to act as a rear bag.

Dr. you will have time to sight in your gun.don'y worry.didn't see you last night at the range.anyway good luck .BTW i don't know what gun or cal your shooting , but it don't matter with the AGBR target -.177 or .22 cal @ 25 yds just couldn't be easier any way hope that you can make it, i just don't under stand why the group shooters are so intimidated by this target @ 25 yds...and there shooting at 50 yds ....? no one was ever told that they coudn't shoot the AGBR with a .22 cal at our range and Charline " the one that runs the matches " has bent over backward to try and accommodate every one .but if you think you won't have fun stay home.H.B.:)

Maybe if you posted rules for your matches, some would not get confused..?? After all,you are alternating two different targets with different classifications at your matches......BR-50/AGBR...

I've got a .177 S400 12fpe model so that's what I'll be shooting. My target may look like a shotgun but what the heck! Can you give any details on how the match is timed, how many shots etc? I get lots of shots at 12fpe so refilling shouldn't be an issue but I figured I'd check.

Every time that a match is posted -it is posted what target is to be shot !! the 1st thing...please note that we don't shoot BR-50 and theAGBR target at the same time...ok now this is the deal AGBR target is shot at 25 yds , 10 min sight in -then 20 min for the target for 25 bulls.easy huh. now with the BR-50 target - 15 yds for 10 meter guns ,25 for .177 guns 50 yds for .22 cal. now 20 min for half target with a 5 min break and then 20 min's to finish the target. now did we miss anyone ? now the BR-50 target is always shot on the 1st sunday .the AGBR is always shot on the 2nd sunday. see you this sunday . H.B.

Awesome...thank you Howard. See you Sunday - excited for my first match!

BTW-we start about 8:30 if anyone don't know it by now it's at the police range on 4008 federal ave ..don't forget to bring your pellets....and if your shooting scuba bring you tank...this is a good target to start off on.H.B.

So when shooting BR50 with .22 airgun, its twice the standard distance? As we all know, the BR50 ALREADY imposes a penalty on the .22 cl with worst edge scoring, since the holes are a bit larger, but now, with your added yardage, well, it seems pointless .... I suggest the .177's shoot at fifty yards as well if its an actual fifty yard open clss "contest" you have in mind, rather than just saying "stay away".

BTW, here is a URL describing the rules BR50 was supposed to be played by:

Aha -there is no open class ! Larry Brown is gone if you didn't know ! and if you do remember ?? he changed the rule's every weekend.that is one reason that people was jumping ship, those rules that you talk about was make up by him more than 20 years ago and things in the air gun world have changed so much at the old rules are out dated. if you don't know air guns now shoot more than 1000 fps.unheard of 20 years ago..we are in the 21st century now so get with it.. "....but if you think you won't have fun stay home.H.B. "

I wuz going to show up last week for your BR-50 match. But with all the confusion on 'rules' i decided to stay home and be happy...LOL

I think I might come down this Sunday, since its NOT the 'dreaded BR50" game that changes rules every week. I seen Roger did ok with his gun, an mebbe I'll see if I can keep up with him. using my Sears folding bench an a home-made rifle I been tryin out.

I'll try to not be so intimidated by the AGBR target, re: " i just don't under stand why the group shooters are so intimidated by this target @ 25 yds" Since they claim its now a real easy target.
