Just a little follow up. The match was a 3 target match UL.
The first official 50/50 shoot of the year was held Saturday, January 3, for the San Angelo Gun Club. It was a nice January day with the exception of a notable wind from the WSW, 7 to 8 O’clock. At times blowing dust was a problem. The temperature during the shoot was in the mid 60s to the low 70s.
We had eleven shooters present and some very good scores under the windy conditions.
Scores of 249 were posted by both Dan and Dawn Killough and 248s by both Jack Kemp and Dan Batko.
The winner of the first match was Dan Killough with a 249 17 X. Second place goes to Dawn Killough with a 249 16 X. Third place goes to Jack Kemp with a 248 12 X.
The winner of the second match was also Dan Killough with a 249 11 X. Second was Dan Batko with a 248 9 X. Third was Dawn Killough with a 247 18 X.
The winner of the third match was Dan Batko with a 248 8 X. Second was Dawn Killough with a 246 11 X. Third was Kyle Combest with a 246 9 X.
Although it is unofficial, Dan Batko gets the honors of the highest total score with 743. That is only 7 points away from perfection. Dan, I believe that you have learned something about the wind from all your center-fire competition. That is consistency.
This is going to be a good year for San Angelo Gun Club and 50/50.
