Salem NY IR50/50 3-gun and UL results 6/7

We shot two matches today at Salem, and the difference in conditions made it seem like we shot them on two different days (or nights). Congradulations to Nick Cappogreco for shooting his first 250 on his first trip to Salem, and to Fred Blanck for winning his first IR50/50 target. Nice shooting by both you guys!!!

I would also like to thank everyone who pitched in to help, especially Nick on the grill, Bob with scoring and Fred with teardown after the match. I couldn't run these matches without everyone's help!!

We had six shooters for the 3-gun match (7 for the 13.5lb target) in switchy, hard to get a handle on conditions. Top 3 shooters on each target where as follows:

After Lunch, conditions were unbelievably calm for Salem. It was more like one of our Tue. evening matches with dead calm to less than 1mph breezes. There were definitely Gremlins present, though! We had 9 shooters for the UL match. Top 3 shooters on each target were:

As always, a great time, although, I think the benches are too high, I was getting a nose bleed, and I was really disappointed that you didn't leave the quills in the porcupine burgers.

Congrats to all the guys who shot the 250's, especially Nick. Great first match Nick, and again thanks for the observations and advise you offered.

Fred --- Congrats man! you've been working hard for that first win!!!

I just would like to say that when I started this BR 50/50 I new it was going to get challenged and have fun but, what I didn't know, I was getting a family also, THANKS, nick

Michael, sorry the oxygen mask didn`t come down like it was supposed to when you sat down at the bench, I`ll be sure to get that fixed for next time:D!

Mel Eck, no excuse for not coming, at least, to the Tom Miller Memorial Shoot in August this year;)!! We raised the benches to a normal height for you!!!

Michael, I left the quills in the burgers, but you see, they are actually no more than thick hairs, and you saw how hot that grill got....I think Nick and I both have bare patches on our arms from trying to put the cheese on the burgers:eek:
