We had a good match at Salem yesterday. The weather was good, with sunny skies and temps in the mid 80's. Winds were switchy, from 0-10mph. We had 7 shooters for the 3-gun match and 8 for the afternoon UL match.
Congrats to Fred Blanck and Jack Sysmaszek for shooting their personal best targets in some pretty tough conditions. Fred has only been shooting for a couple of months with his factory barreled Suhl. He shot a 247-11X on UL-1, 3 points better than any target he's shot before, and he did it with Wolf Match Target ammo. Jack has been shooting with us since late last year with a Gene Davis smithed 40X and whatever ammo he can buy locally. He shot a 249-13X to take 2nd place in the 13.5lb class, and was asking for contact info for Eley dealers after the match We've seen what his rifle can do with good ammo in it's previous owners hands....
Thanks for everyone's help with set up, scoring and cleanup. I've said it before and I'll probably say it again....I couldn't run these matches without all of your help!
Complete results for both matches are attached below.
