Salem AGBR Results 6/2, Fred Blanck shatters his own Springer Record!

We had a good match this evening with three shooters, each one shooting a different class. Conditions were about as good as it gets, dead calm to 3mph winds, with the dead calm being the toughest condition to shoot. I'd like to thank Pete Roberson for scoring for us. Two of our regular rimfire guys, Ralph and Jack, stopped by to observe and I think we might see them shooting AGBR with us soon.

I shot UL class and was happy to finally get my X-count up, Dan Gibeault came out of semi-retirement to shoot my Walther LGR in Match class, and Fred Blanck shot his Kick-A$$ RWS 54 Springer. Fred took advantage of the conditions and crushed his 240-3X World Record with a 243-5X on the second target! Way to go Fred, but I think I'm going to have to start charging you an extra dollar a match to cover postage for your targets;)
Here's Fred's rig(sorry for the poor quality, it's a cell phone picture):

Nice shooting guys

Fred

When you come back to Holbrook we are going to handicap you and make you use the 2 legged stool to shoot! Some very nice shooting by all 3 of you!

Is that a barrel tuner on Freds gun?

Fred,
You should sell your inserts! 1st Noodle's 2 nd J&J sliders now Fred's Inserts!

Dan, Great score's with the Walther.

Todd, David put the hurts on Doug and I at PM. We both might have knee replacements. It worked for David's scores.

Paul

I agree with everything Paul said. Man, you guys had them guns smokin'!

And Paul, are you really sure about wanting to have the knee replacements? At ±40 Grand apiece, I'd think long and hard before jumping in. Of course, that's not what the insurance companies pay to get them done? But, this is the first time in my 15 years of benchrest shooting that I've been able to shoot a single target pain-free as they would always start to throb like crazy before, which has made it a little easier to keep my mind where it's suppose to be during a match.

Dan and Todd, I hope to see you both soon either at Holbrook or at Pinnacle. And Fred, you're more than welcome to come on over as well.

Oh, and Pete, why don't you come along and join us sometime too. It's been quite a while.

Fred,
Good going, your scores keep rising -- hope you're coming out for the IR 50/50 this weekend.

Best,
Michael
