We had 3 shooters for our match today. Paul Bendix made the 450 mile round trip to shoot with Fred Blanck and I. Paul and I shot Unlimited, both shooting .22 Rapid MKII's in custom BR stocks while Fred shot his .177 RWS 54 in Springer Class. Fred agged over 700 for the second straight outdoor match, and I don't think it'll be long before he breaks his own (potential) Springer World Record.

The conditions started out very calm, and as you'll be able to see by our scores, they deteriorated during the course of the morning as a front started to move in with winds gusting to close to 20mph during the third target. Pete Roberson came to run the line and score targets for us today, and we could have been done before the wind came up....but I made the decision to take our time between targets:eek: Interestingly, while Paul's and my scores dropped several points on the windier targets, Fred stayed steady with his RWS Springer.

Here are the Results:

Unlimited:
Todd Banks-----248-3X, 246-3X, 241-1X, agg. 735-7X
Paul Bendix-----246-4X, 244-6X, 240-5x, agg. 730-15X

Springer:
Fred Blanck-----238-0X, 234-2X, 233-0X, agg. 705-2X

Thanks to both Shooters and Pete for coming today!

Paul forced me to shoot his Theoben after we finished up the 50/50 match today. My first shot was an X.

I cannot buy and air rifle... I cannot buy an air rifle ... I cannot buy an air rifle.

Good shooting Fred!!!!

Best,
Michael

Todd,
Thanks for running the AGBR matches at Salem.
Fred, You have that RWS 54 smoking! Congratulations on your springer record. I am sure you will beat that a few more times.

Todd, Great shooting taking all three targets!

Pete, Thanks for calling the line. I was home by 3:00 PM. Glad Michael tried my airgun. Now to get the Hadfields to try the BB guns.

See you at PM on the 30th.
