I just picked up one of these rifles and im preparing to start making some brass. Does anybody know the chamber dimensions(i.e. neck dia, trim length) that this rifles came factory with. There appears to be lot of conflicting info out there.

My friend has one of the single shot Sako Varmint in 6PPC. I don't know chamber size but, a pc of fired brass from his rifle is .272" nk and length of the brass is 1.515". This is w/Sako , 6PPC-USA brass. Hope this helps.

those dimensions sound right,do yourself a favor & make you some brass from a lapua 220 russian case,you'll have a lot less trouble & the gun should be more accurate in the long run

Some time ago I took a chamber cast of mine ( SS 6ppc) and came up with a neck dia. of .272 with a throat a little longer than ideal for BR bullets.
