FYI,
We held our final registered VFS match of the year today. Turnout was light we only had 7 shooters.
Several of our regulars are dealing with health issues (it's an aging sport it is) so that contributed to the modest turnout.
Everyone in attendence sent there well wishes for a speedy recovery to those under the weather.
The upside is we were done with both yardages by noon and I was on the road heading home by 1:15!
We changed it up a little at this match by starting with the 200 yard Agg first.
Francis Lee and I both managed to stay clean at 200 and with identical 250-7x scores, with Francis creedmoring me for the tiebreak and the win.
Ron Pepper took 3rd with a 248-7x.
We moved the frames to 100 yards and proceeded with that portion of the match. The winds picked up somewhat but were manageable if you paid attention.
Four shooters managed to stay clean with Ron Pepper fighting back from dropping a couple at 200 with a sweet 250-22x to take 1st at 100.
Steve Epstien took 2nd with a 250-18x and I finished 3rd 250-17x, Tom Price also clean with 250-16x.
The 2 gun only had 1 clean by me with a 500-24x. Francis finished 2nd with a 499-27x, Ron Pepper taking 3rd with a 498-29x which was high x-count for the match.
You are going to love UBR Ron!
There is a good chance we will hold a trial UBR match in Dec weather permitting, we have no registered match schedualed but we do have the range reserved.
I have targets coming and I will keep everyone posted.
Complete results attached.
