FYI,
Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held their 2nd UBR Score match of the year today at the Sac Valley Shooting Center.
6 brave souls ventured out into the Ione Triangle to challenge the conditions which were predictably twitchy.
We started out with mild temperatures in the low 50’s with a steady rain for the first couple of 100 yd targets.
The rain tapered off as the morning went on and the wind picked up mostly a switchy tailwind out of 4:00 to 7:00.
The 100 yard Agg was won by Greg Wilson, parlaying the only 66 shot into a nice 258 agg just edging out Ron Pepper in 2nd with a 257,
Francis Lee taking 3rd on a tiebreaker with a 255.
We moved the frames just in time for another brief rain squall to blow through while we were doing it and continued with the 200 yard portion of the match.
The 200 yard Agg was also won by Greg with a 251 agg, followed by Francis Lee in 2nd with a 248, Steve Epstein finishing 3rd at 244.
The Grand Agg was taken by Greg in 1st with a 509, Francis Lee 2nd with a 503, Ron Pepper getting 3rd with a 498.
Thanks to the shooters that came out, turnout was lighter then normal for the May match but I’m sure the weather was a factor.
Hope to see everyone at our next match in June, it will be the first half of the annual Bob Dorton 4-Gun Memorial match.
SPTR/LV in June, 100 yds on Saturday, 200 yds on Sunday. This will be a NBRSA Registered Group Match using our E-Backer frames.
