Sloughhouse Benchrest Shooters held their monthly IR50/50 match today consisting of our usual Double 3-Card Aggregates.
I set up the frames on Friday knowing we were in for projected afternoon temps of 110*,
so the plan was to get everyone there early and start the shooting right at 8:00am and keep shooting as soon as the new targets were hung.
Yours truly planned on keeping up with the scoring as we shot, which worked out fairly well as I stayed a target behind the whole match and
caught up while the frames were being put away. We had 9 brave souls who took a chance on the heat, not to mention the switchy headwind.
Enough with the logistics on to the results!

Card 1 was taken by Match Director Dan with a sweet 250-19x (High card of the match), followed closely by Pierre Bigras' 250-15x which were the only 2 250's shot all morning. 3rd place was Marcus Byrne with a 249-13x.
Card 2 was won by Brett Berger with a 248-15x, I was 2nd with a 248-13x, Dan 3rd with a 248-12x.
Card 3 was Dan again his 249-13x 19FM beating my 249-13x 7FM, 3rd was Marcus with a 249-11x.
Agg #1 top 3:
1st: Dan Lutke 747-44x
2nd: Marcus Byrne 746-33x
3rd: Greg Wilson 744-40x
With things warming up we rolled right into Match 2 as the conditions got a little trickier with that switchy headwind.
Card 1 was won by me with a 249-19x, Dan 2nd with a 249-10x, Pierre 3rd with a 248-17x
Card 2 was taken by Dan, his 249-14x beating out Pierre's 11x and my 10x trailed in 3rd.
Card 3 was hotly contested (as the temps approached 100*) with Pierre's 249-14x edging Dan's 13x, and my 12x.
Agg #2 top 3:
1st: Greg Wilson 747-41x
2nd: Dan Lutke 747-38x
3rd: Pierre Bigras 746-43x
The 6-Card Grand Agg aka "The Money Match" with payouts to the top 4 places looked like this:
1st: Dan Lutke 1494-82x
2nd: Greg Wilson 1491-81x
3rd: Pierre Bigras 1488-85x
4th: Marcus Byrne 1487-69x
Thanks to all the participants for their cooperation in getting done early, it was nice getting on the road before that 109 came in!
We really appreciated seeing a couple of new shooters Rollie and Randy who came out to play with us,
this is Rollie's first 6 card match shooting a factory rifle and he says he is learning with every shot! Nice new rest, next we work on optics!
Randy was shooting some type of "chassis" rifle, but I didn't get a chance to chat with him about the particulars, maybe next time!
Hope to see everyone next month, be safe and bring a friend!
