Sloughhouse BR Shooters held there monthly 6-Card IR50/50 match Saturday, and although turnout was light with only 8 shooters, we had a very enjoyable match. Weather was forecast to hit 105 by early afternoon so we got started a little earlier then normal to try and beat the heat. Winds were switchy but not that intense with a couple of shootable conditions if you paid attention.
Sean Mattson continued his winning ways by shooting a very nice 748-46x in the first 3-Card match, including 1 of only 2 250's for the day. Pierre Bigras took 2nd with a 742-38x, and Dan Lutke took 3rd with a 739-41x.
Match 2 was won by Dan with a 743-24x (and the other 250), Greg Wilson close behind in 2nd with a 742-36x, Sean taking 3rd with a 741-41x.
The overall 6 Card Aggregate (AKA the money match) was won by Sean Mattson with a 1489-87x, 2nd was Pierre with a 1483-74x, Dan finishing 3rd with a 1482-65x.
Next month we will be hosting the California State Championship on Saturday Sept.17th followed by the Southwest Regional Championship on Sunday Sept 18th. Both matches will be 3 cards at Yards & 3 cards at Meters. We have 20 concrete benches and covered firing line so come and join us challenging the winds of the Ione Triangle!
