SBS held the second half of the Bob Dorton Memorial Four Gun this weekend. We shoot HV and UNL
Weather was nice, Sat was sunny – Sun was overcast and chilly, with lots of mirage and wind
We shot all 100 on Sat and all 200 on Sun, 11 shooters on sat and 7 on Sun
HV 100 saw match winners of .157 - .263 - .192 - .241 - .125. The .125 small group went to Steve Epstein
Steve Epstein won the HV 100 with a .2508 Agg, Greg Wilson was second with a .2662, and Michael Taner was third with a .2756
UNL 100 was next, only three rail gunners, most just shoot their HV
Match winners saw a .131 - .235 - .278 - .237 - .245, small group was the .131 by Steve Epstein with a bag gun. Greg Wilson shot the .235 and the .245 with a bag gun. But the three rails stayed the course with Ron Pepper first with a .2588, second was Marty Childers with a .2636, and third was Dan Lutke with a .2990 . Fourth was Greg Wilson with a .3064 bag gun Agg
UNL 200 was Sun morning, and a big weather change, very overcast and and very challenging conditions. Match winners saw a .359 - .395 - .337 - .427 - .357, Small group was the .337 shot by Dan Lutke. But First place with a bag gun went to Steve Epstein with a .2378 agg, second was Marty Childers with a .2422 , and third was Dan Lutke with a .2646
UNL Grand Agg went to Marty Childers with a .2529, second went to bag gunner Steve Epstein with a .2797, and Third was Dan Lutke with a .2818
HV 200 was hard to shoot, conditions were terrible and switching back and forth, lots of mirage.
Match winners saw .543 - .339 - .358 - .398 - .294, Small group went to Dan Lutke with a .294
First Place went to Steve Epstein with a .2573, second was Greg Wilson with a .2856, and third was Dan Lutke with a .3943
HV Grand Agg was won by Steve Epstein with a .2540, second was Greg Wilson with a .2759, third was Dan Lutke with a .3477
The Three gun was won by Steve Epstein with a .2633 Agg, a new Range Record. Second was Greg Wilson with a .2893 and third Dan Lutke with a .3634
The Four Gun about the same, First was Steve Epstein with a .2674 and a new Range Record. Second was Greg Wilson with a .3009, and Third was Dan Lutke with a .3430
Both Range Records that were broke were from May and June 2011 by Greg Wilson, .2749 Three Gun and .2776 Four Gun
On another note, the E Backer experiment went well. All 180 groups were picked up the computerized E backer system. Only one shot out of 900 did not register, but the target could justify five shots, so benefit went to the shooter
