Anyone else heard that Ruger will now thread their 77/22 action/barrels instead of the clamp/bolt design?
Very interesting if true.

Its been posted

over on rimfire central as someone called Ruger and it was confirmed. Also in an earlier post there someone reported already buying a threaded rifle. Max

Kid 10/22

I just picked up my new Kid " 10/22 " build. First of all let me just say WOW!

Tony Kidd offers 2 types of receivers....

1. The clasic...has the V-bolt
2. The supergrade....is threaded, he also added a rear tang for a more secure mount.....this was the main reason I went with KID and not anyone else.

When I was looking to have a custom 10/22 built and I found out that CPC " Randy " would thread the ruger receiver and barrel to eliminate the V-bolt, I knew that when the time comes for my custom build I would have this done.

Then I found KID.....He will build one for you from the ground up. ( when he does do a total build, it is not a Ruger 10/22, it is a KID 10/22 ) To include piller bedding.

I know this is not a BR but it is a work of art to 10/22 lovers.

I think if you are doing or having a custom 10/22 built this is a no brainer.
Unless you are going to change barrels oftten.

If you are looking to just have your Ruger receiver and barrel threaded then I think CPC is the answer. Note.....I think he will only do this to bullbarrels.
