I know a Ruger No. 1 is not an action that would be shot in competition. I know a bolt gun can be made more accurate than a No.1, but it is an upcoming project. I am looking for a No. 1 to rebarrel and restock. I have looked for used ones, but the used one's that I have found are going for almost the price of a new one. Is a No. 1 that valuable, are they that rare, or am I just barking up the wrong tree looking for a decent priced used one?
