Does anybody out there know about the installation procedures of a Spec Tech trigger for a Ruger VT as sold by Brownells. I have installed many aftermarket triggers on Remingtons with no difficulties but have noticed that this change may be more difficult. There is a post that extends down from the Ruger receiver which the factory trigger is attached to by a pin and a "micro weld".
An alternative may be the installation of a trigger shoe on the factory trigger which would allow for a more forward "send off" postion. At present the "send off" position is so far to the rear that a pull is likely to result in a twist with the possibility of a lateral movement to that shot in the group. I have not been able to find a source for such a trigger shoe.
The rifle probably deserves a bit of customization as it has show the ability to shot sub 1/3 inch groups at 100 meters as well as 4 inch groups at a honest 700 meters, all 3 shots per.
Thanks for your time,
