Hello, all yes I am alive and doing well and am living in the Midwest now, just out of Madison, WI. I put competitive shooting on hold while I started a side business building custom parts for off road 4x4's. It's going fine but my trigger finger has been getting itchy no pun intended. So in the mean time my daughter has gotten married and has ask me to build her husband a custom hunting rifle for next years season. So I'll be getting at it.
30-06 SPR
Lawton action
Shilen barrel 1:12- finish at 24" #5 contour
Some kind of wood stock, probably a laminate, nothing flashy
Timney trigger
Seekins detachable mag system and 20MOA base & rings
Weaver scope 5-20 x 50.
We'll see what I've forgot. She's ordering parts and will be drip feeding them to me.

If it doesn't need propellant or race gas it's probably just a game...........like fetch and chase.

Welcome back

I would put a Jewell trigger in though. Not that Timneys are bad, just that Jewells are better.

You still w/ ATK?

David:cool:

David,
No man quit/retired (22yrs there) took my pension and came to work for the company that sells the CNC milling machine I have. Two of my kids work there and I didn't burn any big bridges when I left. Lots of friends there still.

Welcome back.

And it's better to be a round than a square. Remember Kookie in 77 Sunset Strip? Now he was no square...
