Rooky question concerning barrel vise

Just bought a gorgeous 6mmPPC in a Scarbrough carbon fiber stock in 6mmPPC.

I have the rear entry action wrench, but need a barrel vise to take different barrels off and on. I have not asked the gunsmith yet, just wondering what you guys think is best.

Source?

I haven't used the Viper from PMA, but haven't had any problem with the Davidson barrel vise that Sinclair's sells. Some of the knock offs don't use grade 8 bolts and nuts. As long as it uses grade 8 bolts and most importantly grade 8 nuts that's the main thing. Grade 8 washers wouldn't hurt for longevity.

The Al Davidson and the Kelbly both of which are made with 4 clamp bolts work the best for me. I also have the type that use split bushings but does not hold like the 4-bolt design.

One caution, on any of the low profile stocks be advised to use padding, like thick leather, on the stock comb to eliminate damage from the rear entry wrench.
