River Bend RBA Unlimited Results

crb

Ray Brooks
Jody Reed topped 7 other RBA Unlimited shooters to win the first rimfire BR match to be held at River Bend in over 10 years. The conditions were mostly light to moderate but very switchy as is the norm at RBGC. River Bend also displayed the mixed up conditions that are common there with flags pointing in all directions at once. There was also some vertical to take points from the unwary. No 250's were fired.

1: Jody Reed-------248-14x..247-12x..249-16x...744-42x
2: David Kenimer--246-14x..248-14x..248-14x...742-42x
3: Doug Kenimer---248-13x..246-15x..248-11x...742-39x
4: John Higdon------246-15x..246-16x..249-14x...741-45x..Highest X count
5: Brian Harvey------244-12x..247-6x....243-8x.....734-26x

We also had 3 RBGC Target Rifle class shooters. This class is for target rifles typically used in prone or 3P with tuners not being allowed. There was a date conflict with a big smallbore match which cost us several shooters. Brett Green shooting a Remington 40x with a vintage Shilen heavy tapered bbl showed how well some of these old beaters :D will do without a tuner. Unfortunately during his last target the rifle went bang when he closed the bolt which cost him 10 points.

1:Brett Green------248-12x..244-5x..238-7x....730-24x
2:Charlie Hood----241-8x....241-9x...237-8x....719-25x

Our next match should be July 31.

Ray, you ran a great match and I had a great time. The River Bend Gun Club is a super facility and it would be the perfect range for the Ga state and Southeast Regional and maybe in the future even the nationals.

Learned a lot today!

Thanks Ray for holding and hosting the match!! You did great job! Thanks also to the folks from the Gold City Range that did the scoring and schooled us on how to play this game.
Charlie Hood

Thanks Ray for a great match. Cant wait for next time. Congrats Jody.

Dave K Captain TEAM USA: The pool of shooters you have to choose TEAM USA for WRABF World Championship 2011 seems abundant with talent. Looks like your biggest problem wont be getting top shooters on the team more like telling people they didnt make the cut.

Again???

Congrats again Jody, seems I been sending you quite a few of these type messages lately. Keep the pressure up on David an them down there!!!

Thanks guys. I'm happy that everyone had a good match and everything went as smoothly as it did for our first effort.

I want to thank RBGC members Bill Lovell, Bob Bradshaw and Dave Rabin for being Asst. Match Directors and keeping an eye on all the hooligans while I was shooting my 3 targets. Dave Rabin and Charlie Hood took care of changing targets. I owe a really big thank you to David Kenimer and Jody Reed for scoring the targets and inputting the data into Jody's laptop [ and from there to Elizabeth ]. Everybody pitched in where needed to make the day go smoothly, that is once we found the proper holes in the ground for the target frames. They were MIA for about 5 minutes due to healthy grass :) .
