What's a good method for just touching up a crown on a .22 rimfire, it has no burrs that I can see with magnification but the bevel is a little uneven, any suggestions appreciated.

for no lathe no gunsmith look at this tool
i think it is available in 22 cal

"Military Rifle Muzzle Re-Crowning Tool Kit"
810-953-0732

it is $125

Thanks for the reply I actually have one of those but was hoping not to do the entire crown just was wanting to touch up the bevel on the crown as it is a bit uneven, I don't know if lapping is the correct thing to do either, maybe it is I dunno. Hopefully someone will have some info on this

lapping is a bandaid for a poor cut crown.....
never as precise as a cut crown.
just get it recut

How does it shoot/group to begin with? Sometimes our attempts to improve serve to only set us back.
