Rimfire Action Wrenches...

As part of the recent "shadetree gunsmithing" movement, I've expanded my "tinkering" to include rimfire rifles. While my Rem. 700 wrench works fine on a Panda, I haven't seen any wrenches designed for rimfire actions; specifically, Hall, Turbo, and Swindlehurst.

Rather than reinvent the wheel, I'm hoping to get some ideas for fabricating wrenches for these three actions...something to remove the barrel without marring (or worse, damaging) the action.

Thanks for anything you can share with me.

Hall sells a tool that fits the receiver dovetail on his actions and it also works on an Annie I have that is threaded. On the others I guess the proper way would be an external action wrench that clamps on the OD of the front rec ring.

I purchased two Sinclair Barrel Vises. One for the Barrel, and on for the Action. I use them on Suhl's,Win 52's, & Hall's.

Thanks Fred,
I will pass that along & keep it in mind for the day I need one too.
I assume it will work for the 40x too?

Factory vs After market

You need to be very careful when removing most factory barrels. They seem to have a habit of cementing them in as they over torque them.
