Richard went into surgery for round 2 at 7:30 this morning. The doctor said it would take 2 hours and that they would hopefully remove the halo on his leg. On the way to the hospital he still said he hopes he feels like going to the nationals. Keep Richard in your prayers this morning. I will update when we hear back from the Doctor.

Richard, I hope your surgery goes well this morning. You are in our prayers.
 
Richard is in recovery. The surgery went well, they removed the halo, installed a 8" plate, and a antibiotic spacer between the bone. He will go in for another surgery in 4-6 weeks for a bone graph. Dr. says no traveling so he will not be at the nationals which we all knew. He will have internet from now on though so he can keep in touch with everyone.
 
Tell Richard i will give him a call on friday afternoon to check on him .. to see if he is up to talking a little bit.:D
 
Glad to hear the surgery went well and he's doing ok. Take it slow and easy Richard and get well, as it will take some time. You got lots of folks pulling for you to have a fast and complete recovery.
 
Richard is home as of Saturday afternoon. He is in great pain. He will have another surgery in 4-6 weeks for a bone graph
