Well I brought my camera, but being match director, shooting 3 classes, and being old and senile I forgot to take any pictures!
We had a great day for a benchrest match, the weather was pleasant, but the winds were ever changing and switching and moans and groans could be heard up and down the line the entire day.
We had a great turnout with nine shooters participating in 4 different classes (Lt Varmint, Hvy Varmint, Sporter and Unlimited at 50 yards). We had 4 new shooters shooting their first match and all shot very well. We even had a couple of springers shooting today.
Russ Holetz was top shooter of the day taking the Heavy Varmint and Sporter Classes. One of our new shooters had a very good day as well. Dennis Dempster, shooting his beautiful EdGun finished second in the Sporter class, losing to Russ on X count, and second in the Unlimited Class. A pretty impressive outing for his first match.
We also allowed .25 Caliber to participate in the Sporter and Unlimited Classes and this worked our very well. The .22 caliber scoring gauge worked well with the .25's so I think we will keep theses classes open to the 25 calibers in the future. We are planing another match on Sunday August 26th so mark your calendars.
Thanks again to everyone who showed up today. Your support is appreciated and you company welcome.
