Attached are the results of the Holton Gun & Bow Club 200 yard score shoot that was conducted on Saturday, July 25, 2015. We thank the Holton Gun & Bow Club (to the 13th power!) for sponsoring this event, and especially Jim Dyke, Bill Nienow, and a few others that helped with setting up and taking down the target frames, doing pit detail, etc. They made the match a great success! Bill actually had to depart the range prematurely due to a ticker problem. I understand from Jim that he is doing fine.
Ten of the finest shooters showed up to battle the 'switchy' Holton winds and partake in some triple T (tall tale talking). Larry Fuesse shot his secret load of Wolf primers and monolithic bullets to stay ahead of the crowd and arrived on top of the awards stand with a 'smokin' 247-8X. Close on his heals was the venerable and precisely accurate Dudley Pierce. Dudley was using his new set of Graham Wind Flags that really stood out amongst all of the other sets. The fluorescent orange and green was really pronounced and was very easy to read. (We were all watching Dudley's flags!) Dudley (with the aid of his Graham flags won silver with his 246-4X. And least but not least being awarded the bronze was the ever steady Jeff Aberagg shooting a fine 245-5X.
A great time was had by all!
Next match will be held on August 22. The course of fire will be a 100 yard score shoot commencing at 11:00 am.
