There was some mighty fine shooting demonstrated Saturday night at the first Cloverhill Indoor air rifle match. The following record scores have been verified.
The old Unlimited record was held by Doug Shea shooting at Holbrook on July 5th with a score of 249-5X
In match 3 , Ron Lewis tied the record with a 249-5X
In Match 6, Lani Cook beat the record with a 249-7X -FM5
In Match 6, Jimmy Trammel beat the record with a 250-5X-FM5
In Match 6. Ron Lewis beat the record with a 250-10X-FM1
Lani was shooting Mark Stillwells rifle and is a first time shooter. Hopefully Mark will get some pictures posted of his range and of the match. Jimmy told me after the match that is a heck of a note to shoot a target that breaks the old unlimited record and not win the match.
Now with that said, I'm waiting on the targets from Holbrook's Saturday match to verify the scores but it looks like Doug Shea also beat his old record as did Dave Shattuck.
In case you fellows have forgotten: Everyone that breaks a record on a given day of shooting get's credit for those points on their Hall of Fame Stat-line.
What a great Saturday of shooting. For anyone that has not tried an indoor match, It's harder than you think. I had some shots that just left out vertically for no apparent reason.
