Great match ... nice weather for BR, with mild, yet challenging wind shifts to keep us on our toes!
We had a new shooter show up, and a few looky-lou's, plus most of the regulars, with exception of Matt Saenz, who was doing crowd control at the LA Marathon.
Roger Lovett elected to shoot two guns, one in .177 and the other in .22 ... he decided the .22 was easier at the end. Larry Pirrone did pretty well wih his springer, and is hoping others will join him in the spring-piston game sometime.
We really had a great potluck cookout, with lots of different goodies to tempt us. Dave Fredrics and Matt Kellerman did a great job on the grill, with the rest of us coming up with solutions to the Worlds problematic issues while they cooked.
I was flabbergasted to see a tie for first, but TIm says he checked and rechecked, an there it was! We settled it in an equitable way .... I guess, by maig up new rule on the spot ... we compared grops for the first row of bulls ... Roger's looked way tighter, so he won the fame an glory. We shoot ten three shot groups from fifty yards on each of three cards, for total of thirty grops, and the overall scores are the total aggregate measurements center to center of all groups for each shooter.
Shooter Gun Agg. Score
1. Roger Lovette, USFT .22, .49"
2. Larry Durham, USFT .22, .49"
3. Matt Kellerman, USFT .22, .62"
4. John Lucas, FX Hawke .22, .70"
5. Dave Fredrick, USFT .177, .72
6. Richard Woods, Walther Dominator .177, .79
7. Tim McMurray, USFT .22, .83"
8. Roger Lovett, USFT, .177, .89"
9. Larry Pirrone, TX200, .177, .95"
WE seem to be tightening up the spread!
