Rest Set-Up Unlimited Bag Gun

Trying to find my options regarding a rest and rear bag set-up for an unlimited bag gun. It has a 4 1/2 " forearm with stainless rails and a rail on the toe of the back end. Pictures would help. keithmyers@yahoo.com

With the rail on the back, it's was probably intended as a "Double Rest" rifle, where the front and rear rests are independent, and adjustment is in the rear rest.

As luck would have it, this is the configuration of the current 1,000 Yard Heavy Guns (they're not quite unlimited), except you could run in something sold rather than sandbags.

Hard to find a picture of just the rests (they're not the sexy part), but here's a video of one being shot,

Not quite what you're after, but here's a link to a rifle tha kinda sorta shows such rests...

After some late night surfing I found out the stock I have is an old Lee Six solid pour. This guy was using delrin on his front rest top with grooves milled out for the front rail. I wonder how the delrin being a hard surface against the rails would induce any vibration issues.

A lot of rail guns -- including mine -- use delrin (half) balls on the rest, with a steel v-block on the rifle. Of course, that's just what people do, & doesn't answer your question. Jerry Hensler used carbide balls & steel v-blocks.

Beyond that, if you are not intending the rifle to return to battery, a lot more options open up for you. There's no mirage in Las Vegas, right?
