Rest for AR/M4 carbine?

Hi:

I want to BR my Daniel Defense M4 with a scope to see how well it performs when the user is mostly removed from the equation.

I suspect most BR mounts are not designed for a AR pattern rifle. Are there off-the-shelf rest products that will hold my rifle? Or will a certain product hold it with minimal custom fabricating of some add-ons?

Note, in addition to the M4, I have a Ruger 10/22 that I will want to rest as well to figure out how well it works prior to gearing it up for some Appleseed shoots.

Thanks for comments or references to any info that will help me learn how to BR my AR.

Good day!

The rest is not the problem. Most BR rests will work. What you need is a front bag that fits your fore end. Check Sinclair's catalog. They have one or two front bags that will fit an AR if you have the typical rounded fore end. You may also want to put some duct tape over the bottom part of the fore end so it will slide over the bag. the alternative is to fasten a 3" wide flat bottom to your fore end.
