reporting procedures?

As someone who rarely posts, I want to apologize in advance if I step on anyone's toes with these questions.

I've done several searches for various applicable keywords in the search box and found nothing. I've also perused the FAQ page and not found what I was looking for. Nor do I see a "forum business" sub-forum.

So I'm posting here. If this is out of place, feel free to spank me.

An apparent spambot posted what was, in context, a clearly inappropriate (and, to anyone who knew him, potentially a terribly offensive) post to the thread about the death of Karl Kenyon.

For most forum software, there would be a "Report Post" button on every post so that such things are easily brought to the attention of moderators and admins and thus removed. I don't see such a thing here. All I found was the "View Site Leaders" link. I duly followed it and was shown that "Admin" and "Elmer" are the only two administrators listed. (Yes, I did find wilburh@benchrest.net via the "Contact Us" link but this is a situation most properly addressed via internal forum tools.)

I sent a PM to both administrator accounts asking that the issue be addressed.

Is that the right way to do things or is there a better procedure?

TIA for any advice,

As much as I hate replying to my own posts, apparently the procedure I used was as good as it gets. Elmer nuked the offensive post and spambot account within minutes; I think it happened while I was composing my initial question.

Now, that's some top-tier service. Thanks, Elmer.
